Each year, under the auspices of its Community Education program, CCCD conducts workshops and a lecture series that is free and open to the public, where a variety of topics related to applied behavior analysis and autism education and treatment are discussed. For the last three years, CCCD has collaborated with three other autism education agencies in the tri-state area to host the "Working Together Conference," held at the New York Academy of Medicine in New York City each April. More recently, CCCD collaborated with the Alaska Autism Resource Center to host a two-day conference in Anchorage, Alaska.   Members of the CCCD staff are also frequent presenters at other local and national conferences. Whenever possible, CCCD is pleased to be able to support other agencies and educational efforts. Please contact Holly Sickles or Suzanne Letso if you would like to inquire about potential topics and speakers.   The organization regularly hosts a Visitor's Day, and schedules individual visits for other professionals upon request. Visitor's Days are generally held once per month from 9:30 - 11:30 am. A general overview of the CCCD programs is provided, followed by a tour of the school. Whenever possible, individual program tours for those visiting from out of state or School District Planning and Placement Teams can be scheduled upon request.
