On The Move
Connecticut Center for Child Development
On the Move is comprised of many different opportunities that offer
recreational adventures throughout the year. These activities are
designed to provide additional social and recreational opportunities
to children beyond their everyday routine. Children must be at least
6 years old and toilet trained to participate. There is an after
school program, a Fun Friday evening program, Saturday Adventure
Outings and a week long summer camp program.
Each day is unique in the On the Move program with arts and crafts, cooking classes, swimming, yoga, gym activities and outdoor recreation. Students look forward to this special time each day.
The Fun Friday program is a great time for the children to venture into the local community to enjoy an evening of bowling, a movie or just a fun get together.

Our Saturday Adventure outings are designed to enable the children
to experience a variety of community-based leisure activities
supported by CCCD staff.
The Summer Day Camp includes: swimming, tennis, baseball, soccer, arts and crafts and more.
Highly trained instructors create a safe and exhilarating camp experience. The ratio of staff to students is customized in relation to each student attending these programs.
